Active with \u201cKatzensprung 2.0\u201d for climate protection<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are an official nature park partner
<\/strong>The \u201cKatzensprung 2.0\u201d project, which was launched by the Association of German Nature Parks and is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, provides support for tourism in the Schwalm-Nette Nature Park for climate-friendly and sustainable activities in the region’s businesses.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

We are delighted to be a Nature Park partner again this year!
To become a partner, we had to fulfill the following criteria: The business must be based in the nature park, the operators must be based there and have a long-term commitment. The partner communicates the measure to the outside world and is committed to ecological sustainability. The partners are actively involved in climate protection. <\/p>\n

The companies are supported with advice on their planned projects and receive impetus and know-how to advance nature and climate protection goals in their own company.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor us, with our restaurant and hotel in the middle of the Schwalm-Nette Nature Park, it is clear that the world and our region are becoming more sustainable and that we, as a small business in the middle of a nature reserve, would like to be part of this,\u201d emphasizes Andreas Korth, owner of L\u00fc.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Our mill has climate protection on its agenda and has already implemented many measures: Breakfast lists guarantee a targeted choice of food so that as little as possible has to be thrown away. The restaurant cooperates with \u201cToo good to go\u201d and has leftover food collected and recycled. Dishes from regional suppliers are served, such as asparagus, strawberries, potatoes, meat, mushrooms and ice cream. They produce their own honey. LEDs provide climate-friendly lighting and motion detectors optimize the use of light. Recyclable cloths are used in the toilets. Two combined heat and power plants generate electricity and charging stations for electric cars and bikes are available.
